As a driven and passionate creator of businesses, what excites me most about running US Global Tax is the tremendous value we provide to our clients. For most, navigating US tax is a vastly complex process, and I love the fact that we remove fear and alleviate stress on a daily basis.
I like to think of my team members as part tax specialists and part psychologists because they deal with a lot of unease and anxiety in people’s lives when it comes to tax issues, especially FATCA compliance (see Featured section below).

As an ex-chartered accountant, I’ve spent my life around numbers. From a bank teller straight from school to controlling multimillion-dollar books in the meat, dairy and lumber industries, but accounts are only part of the story.
Experience in many different industries and roles has given me a deep understanding of how business works, how markets work, and what makes people tick. While I’d put building relationships and systemising a company right up there on my list of skills, seeing opportunities (where others don’t) would be number one.

David Tzimenakis is an IRS Enrolled Agent, and our Manager of Client Services. David is known amongst expats for his friendly and knowledgeable assistance.
In addition, David is also an IRS Certified Acceptance Agent, enabling us to complete ITIN applications in house, and to verify a client’s identity for IRS purposes.
Originally working in the UK banking field, David has been specialising in the US taxation industry for 8 years. David has extensive knowledge of US taxation and its application to US expats & people who want to conduct business with and in the USA.
David works on the basis that you are an individual with unique requirements. He takes the time to listen and understand your needs, create a pragmatic solution for you, all the while discussing this in a jargon free manner.

Shalen Singh is our Sydney based, Manager of Client Services – Australia.

Terry holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from University of Technology, Sydney.
Terry also passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and is a member of the CPA.
Terry worked at Chartered Accountancy firm for over 3 years and dealt with many clients from individuals to SMSFs.
Terry is also an IRS Enrolled Agent, a Federally Authorised Tax Practitioner.

Gottfried is one of our US Tax Specialists, and currently training towards IRS Enrolled Agent status
Originally from China, Gottfried graduated from the University of Auckland with a Master of Professional Accounting degree. Gottfried also holds Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree, which was gained from the Macau University of Science and Technology.
Gottfried is energetic and motivated, with a strong work ethic with proven ability to apply critical thinking in problem-solving.
Gottfried has previously worked in the stockbroking industry, as well as an analyst at one of the Big Four accounting firms.
In his personal time, Gottfried enjoys travelling, and exploring different cultures.

Introducing Nelka Alexander, our company FinCEN Specialist. Nelka began her career in banking roles, and has gone on to be involved in customer services, administration, and also accounting. Originally from Ukraine, Daria came to New Zealand with an accounting qualification from Polytechnic of Poltava and then studied tourism and event management at Waiariki and graduated in 2016 with a Bay of Plenty Polytechnic Diploma. Following graduation, she moved to Auckland where she worked at Skycity and studied Accounting at AUT. Daria is currently training towards IRS Enrolled Agent status.
In her spare time, she can be found at the beach or enjoying her time with her family. She likes the outdoors, hiking, and occasionally yoga.

Brinjith is a new member of our Auckland based US tax accountants. He is an Enrolled Agent and holds a Master of Administration in Finance.
Having worked as a US tax specialist for KPMG and PwC for over 8 years in the past, he has brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in various US individual tax matters. He enjoys cricket, movies and travelling and can be found at any of the cricket grounds in Auckland on weekends.

Located in California, Steve Windham has been affiliated with US Global Tax, Ltd. since its inception.
Steve has been a California Tax Education Council (CTEC) registered and bonded tax preparer since 2003, and an IRS Enrolled Agent since 2008. Additionally, Steve is an IRS Electronic Return Originator and has a US Treasury Bank Secrecy Financial Crimes Enforcement Network account.
Steve became a credentialed educator in 2007 and enjoys teaching accounting and business to adult students. He has taught: Accounting I, Accounting II, Accounting III, Accounting Systems, Business Math, Computer Applications, CTEC Tax Preparer Qualifying Course, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Office Occupations for ELA, Spreadsheets for Accounting, and Survey of Financial Crimes.
Communication and transparency are paramount to Steve, and he likes to take a creative approach in solving client’s accounting and tax problems. Steve’s approach is to find a solution to make it work, rather than to find an excuse why it won’t work.
While teaching accounting and business is Steve’s passion, he also is very passionate about tax audits. Steve fights hard for his clients, and has saved his clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in audits and collections with the IRS and various other tax authorities.
Steve holds numerous Associate degrees, a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Taxation, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and is currently a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) candidate. Steve’s DBA project is focused on financial crimes.
In Steve’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, pets, and friends. He is an avid walker/hiker, drone pilot, photographer, and book reader.
